Sex & Intimacy

Sex therapy addresses mental health issues and/ or emotional concerns related to sexual function, drive, and/or desire for sexual intimacy. Individuals can pursue this therapy on their own, whether single, in a relationship or with a partner. While many individuals may find it difficult to talk about sex— especially with a professional they do not know well, while their partner is present—sex therapy can often help couples or individuals gain more confidence, restore or improve sexual health, communicate more effectively, and work on achieving a more fulfilling sex life.
Adequate and comprehensive sex counselling can positively impact the psychological and sexual health of a person or couple in therapy, even after only a short period of time.
