Low Self-esteem & Confidence

(Format- Individual Therapy/Counselling)

Self-esteem is the degree to which one feels confident, valuable, and worthy of respect. People with low self-esteem often feel shame and self-doubt; thus, they spend lots of time criticising themselves. Low self-esteem is generally a consequence of what an individual has experienced, either growing up or in a relationship. It may be the result of bullying or abuse, for example. Therapy addresses the emotions underlying low self-esteem. With time and work, it is possible to develop a healthy relationship with oneself. Counselling can help people start to believe in themselves again and recognise what they have to offer and the positive aspects of themselves. It can assist people in developing and moving forward.
